2 year-old injured in 2a.m. crash in Woonsocket

WOONSOCKET, R.I.- A two year-old was critically injured in a two-car crash at Mendon and Diamond Hills Rd on Oct. 29th, WPRI reports.

A law enforcement official found the crash at 2a.m.

In one vehicle there were two 21 year-olds: Erika Ahrens and Trevor Pickering. There were also two children in the car who were both hospitalized at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

The 2 year-old remains at the hospital with severe injuries. The 1 year-old was released but is now under the charge of DCYF.

Ahrens faces charges of neglect and driving while intoxicated.
