Motorcyclist killed in crash with garbage truck in Newport

NEWPORT, RI – A 35-year-old man from Tiverton died Friday morning when his motorcycle collided with a garbage truck at an intersection in Newport, reports 10 WJAR. Police say the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of Memorial Boulevard, or LA-138A, and Cliff Avenue. The motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet commented on how the crash happened, nor have they released the name of the victim. Single-vehicle moped crash kills 1 in Newport

NEWPORT, RI – A man died late Tuesday night when his moped collided with the curb on a rotary in Newport, reports The Newport Daily News. Police say the incident happened around 11:30 p.m. at the rotary located in the intersection of Admiral Kalbfus Road and JT Connell Highway. Man crashed into Newport home before Cliff Walk rescue

NEWPORT, RI – A vehicle caused significant damage when it crashed into the front of a south Newport home on Saturday before leaving the scene, WPRI 12 reports. Police say the incident happened at a home on Rose Street early on Saturday morning. A car collided with the front steps of the home, leaving a hole in their place. The car then sped away.
