Narrative
PAWTUCKET, RI – Two people were hurt earlier this month in a two-vehicle collision involving a box truck along the interstate in Pawtucket.
The accident happened on Tuesday, July 8th, shorty before 6:30 a.m. on the northbound side of I-95 near School Road. This is just north of the Stadium at Tidewater Landing.
Police say that a northbound box truck struck the rear of a sedan, causing the truck to overturn. The car became pinned beneath the truck.
Medics transported the drivers to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
Officials closed all but one lane of I-95 northbound in the area of the crash while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
