Narrative
BARRINGTON, RI – A man and a woman died Saturday morning after a single-vehicle crash along a highway in north Bristol County.
The incident happened around 8 a.m. along the Wampanoag Trail, or RI 114, in Barrington. This is near The Tongue and One Hundred Acre Cove.
Police aren’t yet sure what might have caused the vehicle to crash. They say they found the car in the woods near the East Providence line.
The two occupants of the vehicle, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s, died after transport to a local hospital.
Authorities believe the driver may have been speeding at the time of the accident.
