Two hospitalized after truck wrecks scooter in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Two were hospitalized after a truck drove into a motor scooter at an intersection in Providence on Monday, WJAR reports. Two people were on the motor scooter when it was hit on Chalkstone and Academy Ave on Monday night. Both the driver and 14 year-old passenger were hospitalized. They did not sustain severe injuries. PAWTUCKET, R.I.-Two people were injured in a four-car crash on Thursday morning near the Cottage Street highway exit, NBC 10 NEWS reports. GLOCESTER, RI- One woman killed and multiple injured in a multi-car wreck on Putnam Pike Friday afternoon, abc6 reports. Single-vehicle crash kills 1 in Providence Co.

SMITHFIELD, RI – A 55-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon after her car crashed along a roadway in Smithfield, reports WPRI 12. Police say the incident happened around 3 p.m. near the intersection of Douglas Pike, or RI-7, and Cavalry Drive. The preliminary investigation suggests that for unknown reasons, the victim ran off of Douglas Pike and crashed into stone wall and garage structure.
