GREENVILLE, RI – A vehicle slammed into a Subway sandwich shop in Greenville last Wednesday, killing 1 and leaving five others injured.

The collision took place at the restaurant located in the 400 block of Putnam Pike, at the Apple Valley Mall.

Witnesses told police the vehicle wat speeding when the driver lost control and slammed through the front of the shop.

One victim, an employee at the store, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Five other victims, including the driver, were rushed to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
