Narrative
WARWICK, RI – A 24-year-old woman went to the hospital after crashing into a restaurant on the north side of Warwick just over a week ago.
The accident happened on Saturday, September 14th, around 2:40 p.m. at Sam’s Inn restaurant in the 2200 block of West Shore Road.
Police say the driver first rear-ended another vehicle along West Shore and then hit three parked vehicles before hitting the rear of Sam’s Inn and breaking a gas line.
Nobody inside the restaurant sustained injuries, but an evacuation was necessary after the break in the gas lane, and the restaurant closed while repairs were made.
Authorities continue to investigate what cause the driver to lost control of her vehicle.
