Narrative
CRANSTON, RI – Two people went to the hospital Tuesday after a two-vehicle rollover collision in northwest Cranston.
The accident occurred in the afternoon on Atwood Avenue between Randall Street and Elena Street. This is west of Randall Pond.
Police aren’t yet sure what caused the crash. They say that a vehicle carrying two elderly people overturned, entrapping one of the occupants.
Following extrication, medics transported both people from the rolled vehicle to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle also sustained injuries; it’s unclear if that person required hospitalization.
A full investigation is underway.
