Narrative
PROVIDENCE CO., RI – Two people went to the hospital Tuesday after an accident caused by two vehicles racing along the highway near Cranston and Warwick.
The crash occurred in the afternoon on Route 37, or the Lincoln Avenue Freeway, just before the off-ramp to Cranston and Warwick.
The investigation indicates that a flatbed truck carrying wood pallets crashed onto its side after a black sedan struck the rear of the truck. Police say two black sedans were racing on Route 37 when one of the vehicles cut off a driver to its left and struck a vehicle on its right before hitting the truck.
Medics transported two drivers to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
