JOHNSTON, RI – An elderly man died Saturday after losing control of his Ford F-150 and crashing into a residence in Johnston.
The incident happened around 11 a.m. at 816 Greenville Avenue, which is near Stamp Egg Farms.
Police say the driver may have experienced a medical episode, causing him to lose control of the pickup truck.
Medics transported the man, since identified as Angelo Calcagni of Smithfield, to a local hospital, where he died later that day.
Nobody in the house was injured in the accident, and inspectors have determined that the home is still structurally safe.
