SMITHFIELD, RI – A 65-year-old motorcyclist died Thursday after a two-vehicle crash along a major roadway in Smithfield.
The incident happened around 2:45 p.m. near 360 Farnum Pike, which is just west of Newport House Bryant University.
Police say a motorcycle and a vehicle collided, killing the biker at the scene. Authorities identified him as Shell Ferris.
It’s unclear if the other driver sustained injuries in the accident, and police area still investigating the cause of the collision.
